Our chef began his career as a hospitality professional in the most unlikely of roles. In his early teens, he was a professional violinist and began in restaurants as an entertainer. Having a life long love of food and hospitality, Aaron decided to trade in his bow for a Chef’s knife and the journey began.
Chef McCloud has worked in several of the finest restaurants, hotels, and catering venues in Virginia, Michigan, Washington DC, the New York City area, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Florida. While in Florida, Aaron was privileged to work as Saucier at the world renowned, AAA Five Diamond Award winning, Victoria and Albert’s Restaurant. This led to his relocation to the Mid-Atlantic to open the critically acclaimed Aster Restaurant as Chef de Cuisine. Aster earned top marks during Aaron’s tenure and was regarded as one of the finest restaurants in the Washington DC Area. Next, McCloud began building the multi-concept, Vintage Restaurant Group. VRG enjoyed great success during his years at the helm.
As the chef of The Inn at Perry Cabin, he brings experience, dedication, and passion for fine cuisine and genuine hospitality. Aaron’s style is very seasonal, a bit whimsical, stylish, and greatly American. He will stop at nothing to provide a world class, memorable experience for his guests every day that is a step above.
