http://www.cbmm.org/Located next door to The Inn at Perry Cabin in the harbor of historic and picturesque St Michaels, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has grown from a single house, when established in 1965, to an 18-acre complex of restored buildings and new structures erected to exhibit a comprehensive collection of Bay artifacts and to preserve the cultural heritage of Chesapeake Bay.
Exhibits at the Museum trace the history of the Bay and its traditions in boat building, commercial fishing, yachting, waterfowling and navigation. Major features include:
A 100-year-old "screwpile" lighthouse
A restored long-bottom bugyee
A skipjack
A racing log canoe
An important collection of Bay small craft types
A comprehensive decoy and waterfowling presentation
And many other attractions
